February 24, 2019Sarah Waldman is the Executive Director of TeamMates, a school-based mentoring program in over 160 communities across the Midwest, including Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Wyoming, and South Dakota. TeamMates served 9,450 youth during the 2017-18 school year, providing high quality, one to one mentoring in a safe environment. The TeamMates mission is to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.
A senior executive with vast experience in leading diverse teams and consulting with boards of directors, Sarah has deep expertise in board governance, human resources, compliance, ethics, and privacy. Sarah is active in community service and has served in leadership roles on numerous boards, including ICAN, Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics, United Way Women’s Leadership Council and the UNO Alumni Association. Additional board involvement has included Whispering Roots, Community Alliance, Inc., and TeamMates.
Sarah serves as a Trustee for the Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics, was a member of Leadership Omaha Class 29, and a recipient of the Midlands Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award. She has received numerous other awards and honors, including the UNO Alumni Association’s Outstanding Service Award and is past Co-Chair of the ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, graduating magna cum laude and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Creighton University.
